Thanks to all who photo walked yesterday

Yesterday’s photo walk was a lot of fun and we had our biggest group yet, with nine people attending (hope that’s not a miscount), with people from America to Ireland to Spain to Germany.

We met at Riverside Bistro, slowly meandered our way up to Wat Phnom, and then swung back through Colonial Square and over to Night Market.

The evening skies were dramatic, the chat friendly and engaging, and the cameras were clicking away.

Thanks to all who came, we really hope you enjoyed it, and please post your favourite pictures to the Flickr Group we have set up!

Planning for the next photo walk

A quick post to see what date would suit most people. Next month sees the weekend split in two by April/May. So our options are Sunday 1st May, Saturday 7th May, or Sunday 8th May.

Poll closes on the 20th April!

Update

The poll is now closed and it looks like the date is set for Sunday 8th May. We’ll post details about the meeting point and suggested route in the next week.

If you have suggestions for a route that you think might be good, please drop us a line at our contact page.

Site just launched

After a number of conversations between a few ex-pats in Phnom Penh, there’s been a general consensus that it would be great to have a monthly Photo Walk just to give us an excuse to get out there with like-minded folks and take some more photos of this fascinating place.

Whilst there was a Flickr group set up for the specific “World Wide” photo walk day, the idea has been floated on there of a monthly gathering but hasn’t gone any closer to becoming a reality.

For the time being, this site will function as an announcement of the next date/time/location, and we’ll put up choice photos if anyone wants us to (don’t worry, you’ll still own your own pictures if you do choose to put them up here – perhaps we’ll watermark them).
